Who is the Mothman

The Mothman is a legendary beast who allegedly roams the American state of West Virgina. Among other creatures, he is a topic of interest for cryptozoologists, people who study animals which seem to fall beyond normal taxonomic classifications. For the skeptics among us, one could also say that cryptozoologists study mythical creatures; examples of other topics of interest in the field include Nessie, the Yeti, mermaids, and dragons.

According to the stories, the was first spotted in November 1966 at a former weapons manufacturing plant in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Two young couple who were on the land for unspecified regions said that they saw a giant, man-sized moth with glowing red eyes, which took off into flight once it was spotted. They reported the sighting to local law enforcement, triggering a rash of suchsightings

sightings, which trickled off in December 1967, when the Silver Bridge collapsed, killing 46 people.

Sightings

Sightings were reported by a wide range of people, typically around dusk or after dark, and they sometimes involved paranormal activity such as malfunctioning electronics. One report involved a dog, who allegedly was extremely upset for no apparent reason before the Mothman

Some birds such as cranes can get quite large, and they could have fooled people, especially in the dark or during the twilight hours. The red eyes of can probably be attributed to a trick of light reflection, as anyone who has experienced “red eye” in a photograph knows. People are also very suggestible, and a single confused sighting of a bird could have planted the idea of the in the heads of many others.

The bears a lot of interesting similarities to the Garuda, a mythological Hindu creature with a humanoid figure and a large wingspan. It is possible that someone was reading a few too many Hindu myths and got a bit carried away, although cryptozoologists might argue that the failure to establish concrete evidence for the existence of the does not necessarily prove that he will never be found...

Service project

my group for my service project is Tyler, Sean, Danny, and I. We will be doing our wonderful project on the importance of exercising. it willl be like a news report with Tyler and me as the anchors and sean and danny the reporters. we will be discussing healthy benefits of exerscicing as well as a funny video that shows what can happen to you when you don't work out.

Inventions

if i could invent anything i would want to invent the Transmogrifier. the Transmogrifier transforms you into anything you want to be. i got this inspiration from Calvin and Hobbes but i am going to upgrade it. instead of a box i am going to make it a a large shed. the reason being is that if you want a t.rex you are gonna want a big shed or else you will get stuck. So hopefully i can do Calvin and hobbes right and bring fun and joy to the world once more!

Spring Break

For this years spring break i am going to go to Navarre, Florida. I am going to go down their with my family. i am also going down with Mark Stried and his family, Kevin Whalen and his family, the Comforts, and many other families. i am going there for a week, but unfortunaely that is too short for Navarre. i have been going to Navarre scince i was in 3rd grade and i love it. it is a perfect place to spend Spring break b/c there is not a of crowds and the weather is nice and relaxing and the condos are very nice and they are right on the beach. so now i hope that you guys have a good spring break.
